DIY Street Fair in Ferndale,

Attend the DIY Street Fair in Ferndale

At Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Troy, we take great pride in the innovative autos we offer.

The annual DIY Street Fair in Ferndale, happening September 13 through 15 on E. Troy Street, also honors forward thinking.

The event serves as a celebration and a showcase of local artists, crafters, musicians, restaurants, brewers, businesses, organizations, and others with a DIY ethic for work and life. Among the festivities schedule are:

  • Live music by regional original bands on three stages
  • The UHF Record Shop, featuring self-produced and/or self-released music from the performing acts
  • A beer garden with craft beers brewed in the state
  • Local restaurants and food trucks
  • A marketplace with original works by local artists, crafters and businesses
  • Kids Zone featuring hands-on DIY projects, educational demonstrations, entertainment for kids of all ages

The street fair also has its own charity run. The DIY 5k Art on the Run benefits the Ferndale Public Schools art programs and involves optional stops along the way to create community masterpieces. There will be five art canvases set up along the route at which you can add your own artistic vision. The works of art will be mounted and displayed after at the Ferndale Public Library. The run starts at 9 a.m. for the 5k and 9:15 a.m. for a 1-mile fun run on Sept. 14 at Woodward Avenue Brewers, 2646 Woodward Ave.
